How I protect my baby’s white skin

I might have played in the sun a little too much. I wished I listened to my mother when she scolded me about not wearing sunscreen, big hats and sunglasses. Now that I am a mother of a white white baby, I am now the one worried 24/7 about protecting my daughter's skin…

My new fav exercise

This month for Hawaii Sport Magazine I wrote an article about my three favorite exercises to do while I am pregnant. Ala Moana Beach Park is a blue/green outside playground for athletes and tourists in the middle of Honululu. At Ala Moana Beach Park you will find people surfing, stand up paddling, canoeing, fishing, and doing any other fun activity you can do in a warm-calm…

Kaimana Beach

I like to call Kaimana Beach, “My Kaimana Beach” because it is the closest beach to my house, and I am there at least three times per week to swim and to watch sunsets with Tim, to teach ocean running classes with Raul, or to just hang out with my friends. Oh! Kaimana is also the original start line for Ironman Hawaii back in 1978, so “My Kaimana Beach” had to be the first place on my “swim” category to…
